From March 1st to March 2nd, our partner PERSEO Biotechnology participated in the International Seminar Biotechnology Applied to the Plastic Sector. The event was celebrated virtually by AIMPLAS, the Technological Institute of Plastics and the main topic of the session was revolving around the challenges and opportunities offered by biotechnology in the plastics sector in terms of waste management and treatment methods, as well as trends and initiatives being implemented internationally to achieve the goals set by the European Union.
There, our colleague Caterina Coll Lozano, CEO at PERSEO Biotechnology talked about organic waste biorefineries where she showcased the concept and objectives of the CATCO2NVERS project.
The conference also included a poster session to showcase research and development projects carried out in the last three years on any of the topics discussed in the event.
