From September 16th to 19th, our partner CSIC, took part in the XVII Meeting of the Specialized Group on Polymers (GEP), organized by the Royal Spanish Society of Chemistry and the Royal Spanish Society of Physics. The event gathered leading scientists and researchers in the field of polymer science.
During the meeting, Dr. Eva Maya, senior researcher at CSIC, delivered an oral presentation highlighting the CATCO2NVERS project, which focuses on thermocatalytic technologies for CO2 conversion. Her presentation, titled Synthesis of Biopolyesters from CO₂ and Furfural, explored innovative methods for transforming CO₂ into valuable biopolymers, addressing both environmental and industrial challenges. The project aims to leverage CO₂ as a raw material, contributing to the advancement of sustainable chemistry.
The presentation was well-received, further promoting the CATCO2NVERS project’s objectives and its potential impact on the field of polymer science and green technologies by using CO₂ waste.
