CATCO2NVERS seeks to convert CO2 waste from bio-based industries into valuable chemicals, such as glyoxylic acid (GA), lactic acid (LA), furan dicarboxylic methyl ester (FDME), cyclic carbonated fatty acid methyl esters (CCFAMEs) and bio-methanol. CATCO2NVERS reduces greenhouse gas emissions and promotes a circular economy. The project’s focus is on replacing fossil materials with bio-based alternatives in chemical, cosmetics, and plastic industries supporting the EU’s objective of transforming industries towards sustainability.
