On 1 April 2025, the CATCO2NVERS project actively participated in the CO2SMOS Final Conference, a key event that brought together European experts to discuss the future of CO₂-based technologies in advancing a circular and sustainable economy. The event featured a rich programme of presentations and discussions on cutting-edge carbon capture and utilisation (CCU) innovations.

Dulce Muñoz, the project coordinator of CATCO2NVERS, presented an update on the project’s current status, highlighting significant milestones achieved so far. Her presentation underlined CATCO2NVERS’ complementary role alongside CO2SMOS and VIVALDI, showcasing how collaborative research is propelling CCU technologies forward across the continent.

The conference also included interactive sessions and panel discussions, offering attendees a closer look at the tangible results from CO2SMOS, including novel materials and sustainability assessments. The participation of CATCO2NVERS added valuable perspective to the dialogue, reinforcing the importance of joint efforts in scaling up climate-friendly innovations.
