CATCO2NVERS proudly celebrates the success of Beatriz Fuertes, researcher at CSIC, who has been awarded the highest academic distinction, Cum Laude, for her doctoral thesis entitled: Tailor-made heterogeneous catalysts for the synthesis of high value-added compounds from CO2. This recognition underlines not only her dedication and talent but also the scientific excellence fostered within the CATCO2NVERS project.

Her thesis centred on the design, synthesis, and application of advanced catalytic systems based on hyper-crosslinked polymers (HCPs) and porous organic frameworks. These materials were tailored to enable the efficient conversion of CO₂ into valuable chemicals, with a particular focus on sustainability and environmental impact. By combining structural innovation with practical application, her research contributes both to deepening fundamental scientific knowledge and to developing pathways for real-world CO₂ utilisation.

This outstanding achievement marks a milestone for Beatriz Fuertes and strengthens the role of CSIC and CATCO2NVERS in training next-generation researchers, advancing climate solutions, and delivering impactful scientific contributions. The thesis can be found in our documents section
